How does the bubble wrap protect the egg from not breaking?

In physics terms how does the bubble wrap help the egg from not breaking?.. I'm doing this for a project at school.

1. it basically cushions the impact from when it hits the floor. It absorbs the impact and the force goes on the bubble wrap not the egg.

3. It lengthens the impact time when it hits the ground. By F =change of momentum/time, increase of time leads to a decease of average force on the eggs, so they dont break
